“Because if grace is water, then the church should be an ocean. It’s not a museum for good people, it’s a hospital for the broken which means I don’t have to hide my failure, I don’t have to hide my sin because it doesn’t depend on me it depends on Him. See because when I was God’s enemy and certainly not a fan, He looked down and said I want, that, man. Religion is man searching for God, Christianity is God searching for man. Which is why salvation is freely mine, and forgiveness is my own, not based on my merits but Jesus’ obedience alone. Because he took the crown of thorns, and the blood dripped down his face, He took what we all deserved, I guess that’s why you call it grace. And while being murdered, he yelled, “Father forgive them they know not what they do.” Because when he was dangling on that cross, he was thinking of you.”

‘Cause I know my God saved the day/ And I know His word never fails/ And I know my God made a way for me/ Salvation is here.
God above all the world in motion/ God above all my hopes and fears/ Well I don’t care what the world throws at me now/ It’s gonna be alright ♡

…
I want to believe that I did not just only grow a year older but grew up wiser. Thank You, Lord, for the one year that passed by and for the coming days to experience further the beauty of Your grace, to exercise faith and hope after sunset, to feel the warmth joy of each sunrise, to celebrate life and love.

…
I’ve got two Bible verses I hold on to in difficult times:
Jeremiah 29:11:
“‘For I know the plans I have for you’, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.”
and when I feel like that verse above seems not true and when I’m in doubt, my favorite verse goes:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean NOT into your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path.”
-Proverbs 3:5-6
They held true for most of the time. Why most of the time? Well I’m just human and there are still times that I feel like giving up but then again maybe in situations as such I still need to be in the phase of Proverbs 3:5 in that phase of TRUSTING HIM with ALL my heart…

John 16:22
The song we used for our special no. last Sunday
If This World
- Jaci Velasquez
Do you feel you’ve been disowned, left outside in the cold and without a home?
Do you think that no one cares, that you’re lost all alone and without a prayer?
Don’t give in to the lie that there’s no one you can turn to
Don’t lose heart, there is hope, there is someone who will never desert you
If this world is a lonely place for you
Fall into the arms of love
If this world is a lonely place for you
There’s a God who you can trust
Who’ll comfort you and lift you up
Are you looking for a friend who will stand by your side to the very end?
Someone who is always true to his word, be assured, He won’t turn from you
Put your faith in the One who will never let you down
He has proven His love open up to all He has for you now
He hears your cry, He sees your tears
He knows your pain and all your fears
He waits for you with open arms
He longs to live inside your heart
You’ll never be alone again
“For women who claim to be devoted to God should make themselves attractive by the good things they do” (1 Timothy 2:10)

sheena loves sunsets: On Dreams and Passions
Someone from our Bible Study class raised this question and we thought that it was very important to discuss it. She asked: “What is it like to ‘do everything for God’? Does it mean always praying, always attending church events, always reading the Bible and not doing anything else?”
Well the…
One of the posts that I believe is right on time for me to read.
I and some of our church’s youth ministry girl youth members performed a song number — a cover of Chris Tomlin’s Chosen Generation — last Sunday (June 27, 2010). For the 2 nos. there were technical problems like mic not functioning, and no sustain for the piano I used. But then again, ‘twas still a success and we give glory to the Most High.
It’s been a while since I played and even if I only have a minute part in this, I was inclined to learn and play more… again…
p.s. That’s my sister playing the electric guitar. ^_^
…
I feel jittery. I can’t even remember the last time I played the piano/organ in front of so many people. Tomorrow I will be reunited with the ebonies and ivories with spectators in front of me. My thoughts right now is that I couldn’t make it. And so I reminded myself that I’m doing this for no one else but Him so I must give my best shot. Thinking even more deeply, there’s a reason behind why I’ll be playing Chosen Generation tomorrow. There is. But then again, I’m nervous.
“You have called us out of darkness into light so glorious.”
